Healthy Is The New Happy

In our busy, so-called hectic lives, we often forget what it is that keeps us healthy and fit. When we are sick, the first thing we notice is that we didn’t pay attention to the health of our bodies.

Sickness has many financial implications. New Zealand lost a total of $1.51billion in 2016 because of the absences of employees caused by illness. Nepal could be in a worse situation. Nepal may find itself in a dire situation due to its lack of healthcare infrastructure, inadequate medical insurance and passive response. The government is making efforts to improve the health of the people by providing relief funds and launching insurance schemes.

A good health can help people live longer, happier and healthier lives. The term “Wellness” is not just about being healthy. It’s the constant, strong-willed growth and change throughout your life. The broader scope of wellness includes physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. The way you live your life is what it’s all about. It’s not a goal to achieve, but a way of life. Maintaining a high level of wellbeing is essential to a better quality of life.

The health and wellbeing of an individual is perhaps the most important aspect of their life. Well-being is the only thing that can guarantee a person a normal, happy life. You cannot perform any activity if your health is impaired. What can we do in this situation? It’s good to know that, yes, you can make a big difference, even at a small level.

Since a long time, the public has relied on government-run programs to raise awareness despite the fact that their effectiveness is rarely monitored. Despite the fact that these messages are very important, they may not have received much attention. These messages are also more impactful when they’re discussed in groups of peers and within families and friendship circles.

Preventive checkups, performed regularly and religiously, can allow you to monitor your health. This will help diagnose illnesses early and treat them more effectively. Breast Self-Examination is a tool that helps women to check for changes, such as early signs of Breast Cancer. Other routine checks, such as Pap smears, Colonoscopies and Pap smears, can be helpful in detecting Cervical Cancer ahead of time. It is important to have the information and share it with family and friends.

The youth, as an educated group, has a responsibility to help the older generations adopt a healthier way of life by monitoring their vital health parameters on a regular basis. The slogan ‘Healthy nation for healthy workforce’ is particularly appropriate for Nepal’s ambitious progress plans. It’s obvious that it’s impossible to achieve prosperity with citizens on long-term sick leave or seeking medical attention. An individual approach can have a major impact. Individuals must also take responsibility for their own health and that of their families. We need to stop going to the doctor only when there is a serious illness. Instead, we should be focusing on regular health screenings and checkups in order to avoid advanced and serious diseases.

You must take responsibility for your health. Make an appointment to meet with your doctor and discuss the specific tests and screenings you require and when.
