The Difficult Path: My Dreams And Goals In Life

Your future can be determined by your childhood goals and dreams. Many children have dreams in childhood that may seem impossible, such as being a Rockstar or playing for the MLB. However, they also have realistic dreams. There are many realistic goals that children dream about, such as riding the highest coaster, swimming among dolphins, or becoming an a physician. It is possible to make childhood dreams come true. All you need is persistence, perseverance and hard work ethic. Although achieving goals is difficult and requires patience, it is worth setting and achieving them. They can help you create structure and a better future. My life has been full of dreams, and I have fulfilled many of my goals. My greatest dream as a kid was to be a famous musician.

Since I was five years old, my dream was to go to Redlands University, Mom’s Alma Marter. To help society is my main goal. My life will be full of joy and value if I can fulfill my life’s dreams. The future is built on childhood dreams. Childhood dreams can range from impossible to realistic. Some children want to be rockstars. While others wish to be chefs. They don’t just include doing something. I learned this the hard way. Everest, or to England. Pausch shares his childhood dream of playing in the NFL. Although he didn’t make it, he learned many valuable lessons. The most important thing about childhood dreams is their ability to teach us valuable lessons. Pausch learned many valuable lessons through The Last Lecture. For me, however, the two most important were dealing with critics as well as building self-esteem. Pausch states that it’s bad to see yourself doing something you don’t like and for no reason. Although you may not wish to hear it but critics often tell you that they love and care about your progress and are there to help you. (Pausch 37). High self-esteem is helpful in overcoming criticism. A high self-esteem is crucial for achieving dreams. It gives you the motivation to continue pursuing your dreams until you achieve them. Pausch talks in Chapter “I Never Made It to NFL”, about how self-esteem is important and how it motivates people to reach their dreams. Although dreams are not always easy to achieve, especially when they involve outreach, if you’re motivated and willing to put in the work, they can be achieved. Pausch said that if you give someone something they aren’t capable of, they will work hard until they realize they can do it. You just have to keep doing this (Pausch37). Setting goals for the future is important, and childhood dreams can help you get there. Setting goals is a great way to live a fulfilled life. You can have a positive impact on your life by setting goals. It is important to achieve your goals (Latham 126).

Life goals can help you set a direction for your life. They are the key to helping us get ahead in our daily lives. They are both the first steps in each stage of our lives and the final steps. It’s important to realize the importance and importance of setting goals in life. Robert Emmons says that goals are essential to a person’s life experience. He states in Flourishing. The Positive Person and the Great Life: “Goals contribute to people’s sense of meaning and worthiness” (Emmons 107). Experts agree that having goals in life is crucial to a happy and fulfilling life. Many experts agreed that happiness is the main goal for most people. Many experts agreed that life goals are important and recommended that you choose the right goals. They also recommend that you set long-lasting goals. Latham says in The Motivational Advantages of Goal Setting that “Goal setting theory also affirms that people with hard goals (often referred to as “stretch”) have higher motivation.

The more specific goals (Latham 126) the better they perform. Life goals have had a significant impact on my life and continue to guide me in a better direction. In line with this, my most important childhood dream is to become a famous singer. As a child, my earliest memories were of the time I sang in a children’s choir. Singing has brought me joy and I’ve always loved singing.

This dream isn’t realistic for me. There are very few statistics that will allow me to become a well-known singer. Stapp, in Myths and Realities of Professional Singinging, stated that while professional singing can be rewarding, it is not always easy. (Stapp, 2). There are many things I need to be aware of when I pursue my dream of being a singer. There are many negative aspects to consider when pursuing my dream of becoming a famous singer. Although these seem daunting, they have not discouraged my efforts. Although I haven’t yet achieved my dream, I am determined to do so. My main reason for not pushing harder to realize my dream is the fact that I get so anxious and nervous as I age that singing in front a live audience is almost impossible. This is only a minor obstacle in my quest to achieve my dream. I will continue my singing lessons and begin recording my music. This is a dream that I didn’t have. However, I plan to continue working hard and pursuing my dream of being a famous singer. Elbert Hubbard famously said that failure is only in failing to try again. I’ve also had dreams of attending the University of Redlands.

Since childhood, I wanted to go to University of Redlands. Being the daughter a Bulldog’s former Bulldog Bulldog mother, I have always attended school functions and events. We attend the annual 4th-of- July fireworks show every year. It is always a memorable experience and makes me think of how wonderful it would have to be in Redlands. Because of my low grades, my high school dream of attending University of Redlands became a nightmare. I was fortunate to be able to regain my faith in college and became an honor student. Because I couldn’t imagine continuing my education at any other school, I knew that I would apply to the University of Redlands. I have long longed for a school where I can achieve excellence and succeed. I know that the University of Redlands will provide that. This dream has come true, and it is amazing. I accepted an academic excellence award to Redlands in the fall of this year. I’ll be starting September. It was a dream I achieved and I learned that I am capable if given the right motivation. To make society more special, that is my ultimate goal. This goal can be achieved in the most effective way that I can think of: to be elected President of America. This goal will be extremely difficult for me to achieve. My friends think that I dreamed of becoming President, but I have no idea why. To make America equal for all citizens and to give voice to those who have been silenced, I would like to be President. This is my ambitious goal. However, I’ve learned that it’s important to set smaller and more achievable goals in order for me to achieve my vast goal. To help me reach my goal of being President, I set some small goals to guide my progress.

My first goal is to complete my Bachelor of Science in Pre-Law. Next is to get into a top school of law and become an attorney. When I become a defense attorney, my goal is to spend my spare time helping wrongfully convicted felons out of prison. I plan to eventually become a Senator in California and get a better understanding about politics. Experts who understand the importance and value of setting goals advise that they should be specific, challenging, meaningful, measurable, and specific. Turkay, in Setting Goals: Why, What, and How?, discussed the importance of these factors for achieving goals. He concluded his passage by saying, “

“People will improve their ability to set goals, regulate and achieve them, and this will help them develop self-regulation skills, which are essential for the 21st century individual.” (Turkay 9, 9). While I’m currently finishing my Bachelor’s degree, I have already made the first step toward achieving these goals. I am certain that I have set high expectations for myself. However, I can only do my best and will overcome all obstacles. It’s amazing to see how dreams and goals from childhood can make a difference in someone’s daily life. It doesn’t matter if you have dreams and goals for your life, it’s about how you achieve them. Childhood dreams are often the starting points for a successful and fulfilling life. To achieve your dreams and goals, you need perseverance, hard work ethic, persistence, drive, and hard work ethic. My life has been filled with trying to achieve all of my goals and dreams. Although I may not have achieved everything, I won’t stop trying until I do. My Mom says that “Anything worth pursuing is worth working towards.” I hope that my entire life will be filled with all the lessons I’ve learned along the path to achieving my goals.

It is important to be able to track one’s progress in order for one to reach his/her dreams. This is how I work! My ambition has always been my watchword. I am passionate about my passions. Self motivation has made me a progressive person in my life.

I can vividly recall my youth and how I felt about the world. I had many questions about who I was, what I meant to do in this world and why I should succeed in my life. As the years went by, all of these questions were answered. I learned that goals and dreams are essential to success in life. To love and be loved, you must work passionately.

I can still remember the physics subjects that were difficult in high school. But I was determined to excel as a physics student. I solved many physics problems and continued to read about them. I achieved so many things in physics and I continued my journey to University of Ilorin. This university is one of Nigeria’s top Federal Universities. I achieved my dream of becoming an engineering student, even though there were many challenges along my way. Although the road was difficult due to complex assignments, complex projects, and lack of conducive learning environment, I persevered and focused. I graduated as one of the top students in my class. It was a great feeling to have achieved my goals. I also realized that success goes beyond academic achievement. I can use the knowledge I gained at the university to realize my main goal. I want to be skilled in civil engineering and have a job that is well-paid.

After being among the top students of the department, I decided to create a preference list that would allow me the best skills and help me reach my goals. I learned so much and had fun with the software. Once I felt confident and convinced, I applied to many civil engineering companies.

After passing the aptitude exams, I was called to interview. However, after going through many interviews, I realized that China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), a multinational organization, was an option. I also had a Nigerian railway construction project at my disposal. This project is very unique in Nigeria’s construction sector. This gives me an opportunity to learn and to grow. I am now closer to my dream to become a chartered Civil Engineer. My dream didn’t end there. I knew I had more. I began to wonder what I would do if I were an overall manager. How would I manage my staff and all the resources I have? The question of how to manage my resources when I create my own engineering firm? As an engineer, how do you manage your team? This is what makes life worthwhile… To have dreams and be able to realize them, makes one feel happier.

It is an honor to apply to University of Ontario Institute of Technology. My goal is to learn more about Engineering Management. I am eager to return to this amazing department to continue my studies in Engineering Management for this year.
