Congestion And Its Comeuppance

Sina Zarrintan, based at Tabriz Medical University in Iran, has devised a simple, yet effective, treatment for adult men suffering from nasal congestion. The treatment is completely do-it-yourself; no equipment or medical professionals required. If your nose is congested and you’re looking to unstuff it, this treatment requires just one thing – an orgasm.

Zarrintan published a study called "Ejaculation as a Potential Treatment of Nasal Congestion in Mature Males," in which he outlines his unique treatment in the journal Medical Hypotheses. It is unclear from the study whether there is a related treatment for women.

While this treatment may seem surprising, it is not the only way to alleviate nasal congestion. There are countless studies and publications on the subject, from clinical comparisons of different medications to alternative treatments like nasal irrigation and horseradish poultices.

However, the Zarrintan approach has its advantages. Unlike pharmaceutical decongestants, it is a physiologic stimulation of the sympathetic system in the body and does not have adverse effects. Additionally, the patient can perform the treatment when necessary and adjust the number of intercourses or masturbations depending on the severity of the symptoms.

Zarrintan explains that nasal congestion is caused by the blockage of nasal passages due to membranes lining the nose becoming swollen from inflamed blood vessels. This impairs the natural human drive for nasal breathing and can lead to lower self-esteem and impaired quality of life. Traditional decongestant drugs have drawbacks, and extended use can actually make congestion worse.

In contrast, ejaculation offers a cheerful solution, bringing about various physiological effects throughout the congested male sufferer’s body. The treatment’s emission phase provides a sympathetic stimulation and subsequent nasal decongestion, while the refractory period serves as a sympathetic reservoir and maintains the decongestive state for a while.

Overall, while it may not be a conventional treatment, Zarrintan’s proposal offers a unique and natural approach to solving a common ailment.
